Alongside my 9-5 and side hustles, I try to solo travel as much as possible. It hasn’t always been that way — years ago the thought of going anywhere far away, let alone overseas on my own, was terrifying. That changed when I found myself alone in Canada.

Since then I’ve moved abroad solo, taken many trips, and attended major events alone. I also care deeply about global politics and social justice — and how travel can connect to both.
