welcome to this brits life

Hello! I’m Gemma

Currently based on the West Coast of Canada. I love live music (Country is my jam!), finding hidden gems, random adventures, movies, and a nice cup of tea.

Alongside my 9-5, I try to solo travel as much as possible. It hasn’t always been that way. Years ago the thought of going anywhere far, let alone overseas on my own, was terrifying. That changed when I found myself alone in Canada.

Since then I’ve moved abroad solo, taken many trips, and attended major events alone including Calgary Stampede multiple times.

I also care deeply about global politics and social justice — and how travel can connect to both.

Now I want to help you do the same: travel confidently, live boldly abroad, and stay politically aware as the “cruise director” of your own life.
