One of the best things about blogging so far has been connecting with other bloggers and entrepreneurs. Itโs always a joy to be given a shout-out, asked to guest post, or invited to participate in an activity. As a new blogger, itโs been particularly rewarding as it helps me to build my confidence and keep going when my motivation drops. Recently The Yorkshire Dreamer tagged me to participate in a Christmas Tag. Go and check out this lovely Yorkshire lasses’ content!

The Original Questions
1 โ When do decorations go up?
I usually put the decorations up a week or two before Christmas. My birthday is at the end of November, and growing up we usually didnโt put decorations up until at least 2 weeks before Christmas, and that has stayed with me as an adult
2 โ Who is the Scrooge in your family or friendship group?
I wouldn’t say anyone is a scrooge but if I had to give it to anyone Iโd probably say me. I like aspects of Christmas but itโs a tough time of year for me with my parents gone, being on my own, and three family and animal bereavements around the holidays.
3 โ If money were no object, how and where would you spend Christmas?
I would spend Christmas either at Disneyland or in New York City, and treat myself to lots of presents and pampering.
4 โ What Christmas film do you HAVE to watch every festive season?
The Snowman. For as long as I can remember I have watched The Snowman every year, and it is just not Christmas without it.
5 โ Who do you find hardest to buy presents for?
Iโm great at wrapping presents but Iโm rubbish at buying them. I tend to rely on wish lists and hints from friends. There are only a handful of people I can buy for easily.
6 โ Would you rather buy lots of little presents for a hamper, or buy one big/ main present?
I think itโs much more fun to buy lots of little presents.
7 โ What did you leave out for Santa when you were a child?
I used to leave out a mince pie for Santa and a carrot for the reindeer. I think I used to leave out a glass of milk or something stronger as well.
8 โ Where did you spend last Christmas?
I spent last Christmas alone in my apartment in Vancouver.
9 โ Which Christmas song makes you cringe?
Mistletoe & Wine by Cliff Richard. It makes me cringe, but it also makes me smile because it brings back memories of my mom who was a big fan of Cliff Richard.
10 โ If you could be a character in a holiday movie, who would you be and why?
Bridget Jones isnโt an obvious holiday movie necessarily but I would be Bridget because I am like her in so many ways. Or I would be Iris, the heartbroken British woman in The Holiday who goes to LA for the holidays. If you combined Bridget and Iris youโd get me to a large degree.
Yorkshire Dreamers Questions
1- What is one festive tradition you do every year?
I always buy or make at least one new Christmas decoration, usually a tree decoration, every year.
2 โ Would you rather have a white Christmas or spend Christmas in a warmer climate?
Iโd rather have a white Christmas but I think it would be fun to experience Christmas somewhere hot one year.
My Questions
1 โ What is your favorite Christmas treat?
2 โ Do you usually spend the holidays working or relaxing?
