On August 13 to August 15, 2021, I attended the Mastermind World Summit hosted by Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi.
My VIP ticket to the summit, worth around $500 was one of my many bonuses when I signed up for Tony and Dean’s Project Next course earlier this year to learn how to build a digital empire from the best in the business.
I attended this summit with zero expectations and came away from it 3 days later unbelievably inspired and ready to go. That’s the power of Tony Robbins!
This is my rundown of the event and some of my key takeaways that I wanted to share with you all. Grab a big mug of tea, ideally with a biscuit or three, and get comfy as this is a long post, my friends.
Change yourself and then you can change the world.
Revolutionaries create, collaborate, and change the world together.
Self-education has become a movement.
The Self-Education Revolution
Globally, the digital economy is worth $11.5 trillion globally, and a chunk of that economy is e-learning.
It’s the time of the great resignation with about 95% of people thinking about quitting their jobs.
Forbes, made 3 predictions about the self-education industry last year:
- Demand for specialized programs, coaching, and training will grow rapidly in the new economy.
- Virtual service delivery will be the new norm.
- Specialization and pricing will rise.
It’s estimated that by 2025, this booming self-education industry will triple in size to an estimated $325 billion dollars.
If not now, when? If not you, who? Iโll do what it takes to get you engaged to take control of your own life.

Fully Immersive High Energy Virtual Conference
Around 18,000 people from 150 countries came together over 3 long days for this fully immersive high-energy conference held on Zoom.
In the run-up to the event, we were told that Tony spent over a million dollars to create the platform for this event. He wanted an experience as close to being in person as possible so this was a heavy interaction, all bells and whistles set up….on Zoom that in the past has crashed with 500 people.
We were all in rooms of around 300-500 people and encouraged to network and connect. And we had various interaction buttons like love, and faster, slower as well as a live transcript and group chat. For those of us, not me, who received our VIP event box there were also emoji sticks to wave.
The goal was to learn, make friends, and go all in with high energy at all times.
“I constantly get coaching; I constantly get in proximity. Proximity is power. “

Long But Impactful Days
I loved every minute of this 3-day event but the days were seriously long.
Every day was 10-12 hours with an occasional break, and numerous music interludes to get us dancing. Real talk; there were times when I was so thankful for the loud music to keep me awake…along with a lot of coffee.
The content of the conference was outstanding, and the guest speakers included Lisa Nichols, Jenna Kutcher, Glo Atanmo, Chalene Johnson, Rafael Garay, Karissa Kouchis, and Bari Baumgardner.
Change yourself and then you can change the world.

Building Mastery One Day At A Time
The summit was structured as a step-by-step action plan rather than just a motivational event.
Each session over the 3 days is built on top of each other, with break-out sessions and tasks to complete along the way.
It was essentially a 3 step process to get us all from where we currently are to where we want to get to to make an impact in the world. So every day had a theme and overall goal to take us into mastery.
Day 1: Become Irresistible
Day 2: Master Your Marketing
Day 3: Exponential Growth
One ingredient is more important than anything else โ energy.
You get really lucky when you work your ass off.

Mastermind World Summit: Day 1
During the first day Dean, Tony, and the guest speakers focused on mindset, and what it takes to create a course and build an online business.
They wanted us all to think differently about ourselves and how our life experiences and our skills could help others. It was a focus on creating an offer for a defined audience.
So with Dean and Chalene Johnson, we worked on mapping out ideas for a course and defining our ‘dot’ which is our Ideal Client Avatar (ICA).
We also touched on how to create content and start building our online presence to get people to know, like, and trust us with the help of Rafael Garay.
We overestimate what we can do in a year, and we underestimate what we can do in a decade.

Motivational Coaching With Tony Robbins
My understanding was that Tony was only meant to coach us for a couple of hours but it was 4 or 5 hours.
I’ve known about Tony Robbins for most of my life, but until the Own Your Future challenge I had never paid much attention to him or had hands-on experience with him.
If you have never experienced Tony firsthand, it’s very hard to describe just how impactful he truly is. It is no wonder that he has helped so many people including some of the biggest superstars in the world.
All your growth comes from the stuff you do that is uncomfortable.
Fall in love with your courage.
Tony Robbins
He has a palpable raw energy. Instantly you know that this man just truly cares and loves people. There were 18000 people at this virtual conference, but the whole time it felt like he was speaking directly to me.
As he speaks it is as though he is in my head, can see inside my soul, and knows exactly how I am feeling at any given moment. It feels so intimate and affected me so deeply that I spent a good chunk of his session in floods of tears. Real talk a lot of us were in tears and not even turning our cameras off because Tony is talking to us after all and he wanted to see our faces and know us.
I had a coaching session, training session, and therapy session all at the same time. I loved every minute of it.
You can do anything. You can create anything.
For things to change for you. You have to change

Mastermind World Summit: Day 2
If no one can find you online you will never have success so the second day honed in on digital marketing.
We were taught the blueprints used by Dean, Tony, and other widely successful entrepreneurs that we could model ourselves. Here’s a snapshot.
Lisa Nichols
Lisa kicked off day 2 with a compelling talk about being an entrepreneur, and that the costs of achieving our dreams will be greater than we expect.
She reminded us that entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s a long-distance, long-haul journey that we are embarking on.
You have to prepare your soil, plant the seeds, then give it water and sun. The grass wonโt grow if you tell it to grow. You have to give it time and consistency.
Lisa Nichols
She reminded us that it takes time management, peers, accountability, and coaching to get where we need to go.
Embarking on an entrepreneurial journey is the RE season. We can re-design, re-commit, re-dedicate, re-energize, re-assess, and then we move forward being true to ourselves.
Being an entrepreneur makes you different. It means you are the gladiators, unicorns, and change-makers that everyone else will come to. It means prioritizing yourself and getting ready to serve and create something magnificent.
We will get big challenges with our big intentions that we will have to overcome. We have to go all in on our big entrepreneurial dreams and give the Universe a memo that all other options are off the table.
The more you serve the more you learn.
You try. If it doesnโt work, you try again. You have to build up stamina.
Dean Graziosi
After Lisa’s amazing speech, Dean, Jenna Kutcher, and Pete Vargas focused on marketing.
The key themes were that it’s about building a personal brand and creating a legacy with everything that we do. All of our social media, marketing, and photos will become our legacy.
Who will you impact? Who will they impact? You donโt know who you are going to impact.
Dean Graziosi
It’s about having lots of different marketing spokes in a wagon wheel and experimenting. Some things will do slow growth like an apple tree and some things will grow quickly like corn. Have a mix of apple trees and corn, and crucially recognize the apple trees so you don’t get frustrated when things don’t happen quickly.
Also, show up messy, don’t wait for things to be perfect because it will just stop your progress. Let your audience help you to improve things. You will build know, like, and trust if you just show up as you are.
Your transformation will inspire others and your passion will be contagious.
The more you serve the more you learn.
You try. If it doesnโt work, you try again. You have to build up stamina.

Mastermind World Summit: Day 3
The final day in some respects was the most impactful and it was a deep dive into how to take it all to the next level. Dean kicked things off by reminding us to just get on with it and take some action. Get courses and products out into the market fast. Create processes and systems that can be replicated. Make it easy.
Knowing you are meant for more and taking steps to be more are not the same thing. You have to take the uncomfortable action.
You have to do the things that you are scared to do. Fear and inaction keep you stuck.
Selling Is Serving
The last day focused heavily on mastering sales, and reminding us that we have a responsibility to serve people who need us.
Objections always come down to one of these things regardless of what the situation is. It’s time, money, a spouse, fear, shame, self-doubt…probably guilt in some respects too that stops us from buying something or ending something that we know deep down we should.
Fear, shame, and guilt are all signals that you should be doing the thing you are avoiding. It’s your mind and body telling you to take the uncomfortable action.
You have to choose your hard. If you are not giving your all, if you are sabotaging something or unhappy somewhere it’s because you are not what, where or with who you need to be. We need to focus on the big moves that will progress us
When you have a calling and a conviction in your heart, if you know you are made for more, then how dare you not, how could you not serve? People will spend money anyway so why not you?
Glo Atanmo
Selling is simply supply and demand. We all want to feel accepted.
Glo made things more fun by teaching us that selling is Dancing.
Discuss the promise
Ask for feedback
Negotiate their interest
Categorize your leads
Emotionally detach from the result
What if everything that has happened to us was to get us to this point? What if life is happening for us and not against us?

Final Coaching With Tony Robbins
Naturally, Tony Robbins was the final speaker of the day and he ended things with a bang. If you ever need a kick up the butt or real talk go listen to him. Seriously.
He focused on what will keep us stuck in any aspect of our lives and what will keep us moving.
That big thing is FEAR.
People are not made to live in fear.
FEAR is the only thing that will stop you. The number one fear is that we arenโt enough and then we wonโt be loved.
We have to tackle our survival brain: Fear Fight Flight or Freeze.
A man constantly angry is hardwired to anger and unhappiness.
You donโt have to be perfect you just have to be real
Tony Robbins
Tough times make strong people. Strong people make great times. Tough times are never forever
Donโt stay in the dirt road of being anxious, angry, annoyed, and disappointed.
- If you are afraid take massive action
- You have to have faith. You are born with faith
- Turn fear on itself / Learn to deal with fear
When there is one choice, there is no choice. When there are two choices, there is a dilemma. There is always another way.
Whenever you are in a state where you want to do something, always do something that will commit you. Take action that will make you follow through later.
If you live in fear, you wonโt take action. You make bad choices in fear.
Tony Robbins
5 Keys To Get Out Of Fear
- Every day, you must feed and strengthen your mind. Stand guard to your unconscious mind. What you let in affects you.
- Feed, strengthen, and train your body every day. Freezing cold water. Find something that pushes you.
- Find great role models. Learn from them. Success leaves clues. So surround yourself with people who inspire you, motivate you, lift you up, and bring out the best in you.
- Proximity is power. Once you get into proximity you will get more. Most peopleโs income is typically close to the 5 people you are closest to. Put yourself in uncomfortable action with people who have the results you want.
- Give much more than you expect to receive and you donโt need to worry about receiving. “You never get past scarcity, you have to START past it.” The secret to living to giving.
You are exactly where you are no matter where you are. Know this, *feel* it – even if itโs hard. And move forward.
Tony Robbins
This is just a brief summary of the 30-36 hours that I spent in the company of Dean Graziosi. Tony Robbins, Lisa Nichols, Jenna Kutcher, Glo Atanmo, Chalene Johnson, Rafael Garay, Karissa Kouchis, and Bari Baumgardner…and 18,000 people. I will share more of the lessons learnt and the highlights in the weeks to come.
There was one common thread throughout the 3 days to burn the boats and go for what you really want. Don’t live in fear. Get really honest with yourself, and the people in your life. You are the creator of your life my friend. Have difficult conversations, don’t make decisions based on fear, guilt, or shame, take uncomfortable action, and commit to your goals.
Small steps every day will lead to big results if you hang in there.
