Living in abundance is the dream of most people. But what is abundance? Each of us has our definition of what it means for us.
As I’m setting goals, and working on my mindset I’ve begun to realize that abundance doesn’t always equate to money. Living in abundance simply means that you do what you want when you want and shape your own life. It is really about having the resources and resourcefulness to be able to handle any situation and do what you need to do whenever you need to do it.
The Universe is full of abundance, and all of us can witness and live in abundance. Here are some of the things that I have been learning about how to develop an abundance mindset.
1. Be Open Minded
This is your first step to developing an abundant mindset. By being open-minded, you will be able to learn how to change your negative beliefs. Open yourself to an abundance of awareness and understanding of how your life and the universe work. It can get a little woo sometimes, so being open-minded will also stop you from dismissing things as too ‘out there’.
2. Focus On Gratitude
It is gratitude that gives us back the focus that is responsible for how pleased we are. Unhappy people are ungrateful people. Gratitude is one of the highest vibrations. If you vibrate with lack, you live in an abundance of lack.
The concept is simple really, if you focus on what you don’t want or do not have you will get more of that so if you think about how bad your job or relationship is and think to yourself I don’t want this it will probably get worse. Instead, focus on what you do want. Tell the Universe that you want a happy loving passionate relationship or a particular job instead while being grateful for what is already good in your life.
Also, don’t beat yourself up or make light of what you want or use it to invalidate yourself. For instance, knowing that you are in a toxic unhappy relationship and deserve better but you tell yourself “At least I am in a relationship” or “At least I am not on my own”. Or you want a new job or career but you tell yourself “At least I have a job”.
The fact is that it’s ok to want things that are different from what is expected of you, are not what others want, or are just for you so remember that when you express gratitude. It’s ok to want more and choose things for yourself.
3. Do More Of What You Love
Every path that you take in life will bring you new insights, beliefs, and vibrations. If you feel that you aren’t on the track that you want to be at the moment, focus on ways that you can move closer to the life that you want.
Spend your time doing more of the things that you love to do. For instance, you could start doing your dream job as a hobby to begin with until you can make a living from it.
4. Choose Your Words Carefully
Please remember that your words have an impact, and often negative words hurt far more than negative physical actions.
And this is also true with abundance because every thought that you have and word that you say has a certain weight and vibration. So be aware of your thoughts, beliefs, and the things that you say to yourself and others.
You are not your thoughts, so make an effort to develop thoughts that will serve you positively.
5. Be Aware Of Your Worth
There is only one of you. Be kind to yourself and recognize your worth.
Those who do not know how to appreciate themselves also do not know how to respect or appreciate other people. There is a reason why people say that hurt people hurt people because insecure people often hurt others.
So, even when life is not going your way, or someone hurts you and makes you feel bad try and focus on self-love. Get to know yourself better and recognize all of the talents, skills, and knowledge that you possess.
By doing this your energy and vibration will slowly change over time. The reality you live in is your mirror, and change should come from within you, not the other way around.
6. Recognize Your Beliefs About Money
Many people equate abundance with money, and their beliefs about money are mostly negative. For many, money is evil, something that changes a person. That is not true.
I have been learning that abundance doesn’t actually mean money, although money is undoubtedly part of it. It is actually about the freedom, opportunities, and experiences that money gives us.
7. Visualize and Meditate
These two techniques will help you take off masks and resistances that you are not even aware that you have.
By visualizing and meditating you will be able to raise your vibrations. It will also help you to improve your focus, eliminate unnecessary thoughts, and concentrate on your goals. Try to observe your thoughts because they will show through your vibration.
If visualizing and meditating just really isn’t your thing, you could also try journaling.
The Universe is full of abundance, and all of us have the ability to develop an abundance mindset.
