This tag has been going around the internet for years, and recently some of my blogging friends took part so I thought it would be fun to join in. Hope that you enjoy getting to know me a little better.
1. What is your usual Starbucks order?
Hot drink is usually a caramel latte. Cold drink is usually iced peach green tea lemonade.
2. All time favourite food?
Savoury: Love BBQ food (Ribs, Brisket etc)
Sweet: Chocolate
3. What are you currently reading?
I’m reading two books at the moment.
‘Layover’ by David Bell which is a fast-passed mystery thriller and ‘Elligible’ by Curtis Sittenfeld which is a modern retelling of ‘Pride & Prejudice’.
4. Favourite author?
Of all time? Probably John Grisham
5. When are you the most inspired?
Usually when I’m with loved ones or out for a walk listening to podcasts.
6. Favourite video game or board game?
I always loved playing Scrabble with my mom when I was a kid.
7. What is your guilty pleasure treat?
Chicken nuggets and fries or anything chocolate
8. What’s your favorite film?
This is a hard question as I love movies!
It’s a toss-up between Dirty Dancing and Bad Boys I think.
9. What’s your favorite book?
Pride & Prejudice, Jane Austen
10. Twitter or Instagram?
Instagram!
11. Desktop or Laptop?
Laptop for convenience
12. Best advice you ever received?
Everything happens for a reason. What is meant for you will find you, and it will come without force or struggle.
Relationships, work, life stuff – If it is really hard, feels forced, makes you unhappy, isn’t working out then it is probably not meant for you.
So learn to let go and walk away from things and people not meant for you. You will know when something or someone feels wrong or feels right. Focus on what is meant for you.
13. What project are you working on right now?
This Brit’s Life blog posts. email marketing and some freebies.
14. What’s your favorite Colour?
Turquoise blue or rose gold
15. Did you get good grades in school?
Yeah I got decent grades
16. What’s your dream job?
Full-time blogger and content creator.
17. Played any sports?
I have never been sporty but I played netball for a little while in high school.
18. Do you have a degree?
Yes, I have a BA in Journalism.
19. What’s your Nationality?
I’m British
but ethnicity wise I think I also have Irish, French, and other European ancestors.
20. What is your favorite kind of blog post to write?
I enjoy writing posts that inform or provide advice. Solo travel is my favorite topic that I will be writing a lot more content around.
21. What do you like to collect?
Everywhere I go on vacation I always buy a magnet.
22. Describe yourself in 3 words
Creative, easy-going, caring
23. How do you start your day?
Always with a mug of coffee.
24. Who was the last person you DMโd?
I think it was probably the blogging group I belong to on Instagram.
25. Whatโs a must-have clothing item everyone should own?
A nice leather jacket. I have a black one and a brown one, and they are both more than five years old.
26. Which Hogwarts House?
Love Harry Potter. I would want to be Gryffindor but I’d probably actually be Hufflepuff.
27. How many tattoos do you have?
None. I hate needles.
28. Do you like surprises?
Yes, I love them.
29. Leather or Lace?
Lace.
30. Window or aisle seat?
Definitely a window seat.
31. Whatโs the best thing ever?
Laughing till my stomach hurts and spending time with someone special.
32. What’s your favorite season?
I like the time when Spring is turning into Summer before it gets scorching hot.
33. What’s your favorite holiday
If I had to pick one I guess I’d say Christmas or Easter.
34. Which fictional character do you relate the most to?
Bridget Jones.
35. What’s your favorite TV show?
Supernatural and Friends.
36. Whatโs the biggest learning experience youโve had?
Moving overseas or losing my parents.
37. Whatโs your biggest weakness?
I can get very emotional and over-sensitive sometimes.
38. What’s your biggest strength?
Maybe resiliency as I always manage to bounce back no matter how bad things are.
39. Do you like muffins?
Chocolate or raisin ones, please.
40. Do you cook often?
I’m not a very good cook so I only cook as much as I need to.
41. Whatโs your favorite dessert?
Cheesecake, brownies, or ice cream.
42. Is there a dessert you donโt like?
Not a fan of Tiramisu.
43. Cake or pie?
Always cake.
44. Whatโs your least favorite food?
Anything spicy and Avocado.
45. Whatโs your favorite condiment?
Mayonnaise
46. Itโs 4 am on a random Saturdayโฆwhat are you eating?
Probably chicken nuggets from McDonalds or a slice of pizza.
47. If you could teach a college class, what would it be?
Something creative or crafty like jewelry making or upcycling thrift items.
48. Best animated film?
Love Finding Nemo.
49. What has a guy said or done that impressed you?
Been open and vulnerable…especially when it is hard to do. Little things are more impressive than big gestures to me.
50. Best thing to do on a first date?
Just hang out and talk to get to know each other. My best first date ever was just chatting for hours with beers and wine on my front porch. Simple is always best in my opinion when it comes to dating.
51. Worst thing to do on a first date?
Don’t turn up or chat up other people.
52. Whatโs the best pickup line?
It’s not the best but this is a good cheesy one…Is your dad a thief, Because he stole all of the stars in the sky and put them in your eyes?
53. Favourite flowers?
Lilies and peonies.
54. Name three things that can always be found in your purse.
Purse, phone, and keys.
55. Favorite drink?
It’s currently peach iced tea.
56. What did you want to do with your life at age 12?
I wanted to be an entertainment magazine journalist or a singer.
57. Kittens or puppies?
Both, please.
58. Favorite sushi roll
I rarely eat Sushi because most Sushi seems to come with avocado and I can’t stand avocado lol.
59. What lipstick do you use?
I don’t wear lipstick very often, I prefer gloss. I have a Smashbox metallic gloss that I love for summertime.
60. What foundation do you use?
In the summertime, I wear something super light like Rimmel BB Cream.
61. Blowdry or Airdry?
Usually airdry. I only blow dry when I’m in a hurry or going somewhere special.
62. Who is your fashion icon?
I don’t have one but I do like Ashley Graham’s style.
63. Favorite Disney character?
Dory from Finding Nemo or Pumbaa from The Lion King.
64. What Movie do you laugh the hardest through?
I’m easily entertained when it comes to comedies so this is a hard one. I did find ‘Life of the Party’ funny.
65. Movie that made you cry?
The Notebook
66. If you could sing a duet with anyone, who would you choose?
Luke Bryan or Brett Eledredge.
67. Gold or Silver?
Gold.
68. Diamonds or pearls?
Always diamonds.
69. Whatโs your favorite animal?
It’s a tie between elephants and dolphins.
70. Where are you from?
Southeast coast of England; a small seaside town called Clacton-On-Sea.
71. What do you do to relax?
Depends on my mood. Usually, I will play music, watch a movie or read a book.
72. A person youโd like to have coffee with?
Michelle Obama or Pink
73. What country would you love to visit?
Italy is at the top of my bucket list.
